Probely, a tech startup in the Cybersecurity B2B SaaS space, is looking for a sharp, passionate, and highly motivated Technical Writer to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent contract, and full-remote position. You must be, however, located in a timezone between UTC-1 and UTC+2. If you are located in Lisbon, this can be a hybrid position.
We are looking for a talented Technical Writer that loves writing technical documentation to help us improve our customers' experience and journey to achieve the security of their web applications and APIs.
At its core, Probely is a service that finds vulnerabilities in Web Applications and APIs and provides guidance on fixing them in a developer-friendly approach. It follows an API-first development approach, providing all features through an API; this allows Probely to be integrated into Continuous Integration pipelines to automate security testing and integrate with virtually anything!

In this role, you'll create comprehensive, accurate, and effective product documentation to help our users' journey into the product. You'll gain a deep understanding of the product inside and out, work closely with the team that creates it, and understand customers' goals, workloads, and use cases. You'll also be responsible for documenting our API and our Developers site.
Responsibilities
- Write helpful, accurate, well-organized, consistent, and highly effective content from scratch.
- Write API Documentation and assist in API Design.
- Actively participate in agile development team meetings and represent the interests of the product documentation team.
- Use the product, test each feature and workflow, become an expert user, and provide feedback to product development teams.
- Collaborate with software developers, designers, and product managers about new features and upcoming product changes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align product documentation with other forms of customer enablement content.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align lead generation content with the product, customers' goals, and use cases.
Requirements
- 2+ years of technical writing experience for Developers, Security Experts, IT operations, DevOps, or DevSecOps audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, communications, computer science, or a related study area.
- Native English or equivalent, with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Excellent content planning and organization skills.
- The ability to fulfill the role's information design, writing, and editing components.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- The ability to quickly learn complex concepts and technologies and clearly explain them to others within the target audience's context.
- Your timezone must be between UTC-1 and UTC+2.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with creating documentation in an Agile development environment.
- Experience with "audience'sDocs as Code" practice.
- Experience in creating how-to videos.
- Experience in documenting APIs.
- Knowledge or experience with web programming.
- Knowledge or experience with SDLC, software development, CI/CD, and bug-tracking systems.
- Interest in information security is valued.
